All meetings and events of the Group have been suspended for the immediate future until restrictions on social distancing are relaxed. Meanwhile, individual work on building reports and this website continues. Hope to see you again very soon!
The Henley Archaeological & Historical Group, formed in 1976, provides a forum for archaeologists, historians, and others with similar local interests. The Group has been active in archaeological excavations and in studying the history of Henley, its surrounding districts and their inhabitants.
We meet regularly in the Kings Arms Stable Barn in the heart of Henley for a monthly lecture and we arrange occasional outings to archaeological digs, historic houses and anything else of interest to members.
We are also active in recording and publishing different aspects of the town especially the late medieval buildings.
