The story of Harpsden 1586 – 1879 is now available!

First written as a dissertation for Ruth’s degree in Archaeology & History, this publication considers the topography of the valley, its connections with Henley’s river trade, the farmsteads and buildings, land use and the population including stories of individuals who lived in the Manor. The story is much enhanced by information from a detailed map drawn in 1586 that Ruth discovered during her research.
